FAM SPRING IS COMING. IT IS FINALLY COMING!!!
We genuinely hope you're not reading this accompanied by gently falling snow. But if you are: Spring is still on the way very soon.
What does that mean from a library perspective? Well: Don't forget to set your clocks forward an hour on Sunday, March 8th. If you don't, you'll be late for our excellent NPL Crime Club session on Jury Selection at 2 pm (seriously, sign up, it will be amazing).
But also: Now is the time to start acquiring Skills for Spring! These include, but are not limited to:
- Accessing Craftsy, our streaming how-to service, to finally learn how to arrange the flowers that we will start to see ANY DAY NOW (also, in case you want to learn to crochet bunnies. Everyone needs a smol crocheted bunny. Me especially).
- Planning your garden with the help of our amazing nonfiction located on the first floor (look around 745.92 or so);
- Checking out binoculars from our Library of Things, as well as some bird identification guides (598.97, also nonfiction), to espy the feathered friends that are already headed this way;
- Upping your grill game by checking out the recommended models via our online-access Consumer Reports (reliability is a must), then snapping up one of our barbecuing books (641.578ish) to wow your fam with some delicious food;
- Venture out of your house to attend one of our great spring programs! Do some paper crafting or yarnstorming, get limber with yoga, or come to the Seed Swap on March 16th at 6 pm to get supplies for that garden you planned. Reminder: At some point in spring, the air will no longer hurt your face when you step outside. Won't that be lovely?
We're here at NPL and happy to help your skills bloom using NPL's physical and digital items. Time is of the essence, so hop in today -- and don't forget to spring your clocks forward an hour on March 8th. See you soon!
