THIS FRIDAY!!!

It's almost here, the moment you've been anticipating all this time. WE ARE RE-OPENING FRIDAY, JULY 25 AT 9 AM. And all the people said: Hooray!!!!!

We're so excited to open our doors to show you our refreshed space and allow you access to all the NPL materials and spaces you know and love. Do you have questions? We have answers! Here are a few things you might be wondering:

What will your hours be?

Starting this Friday, we're returning to our 'regular' hours. They are:

  • Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 8 pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm
  • Sunday: 1 - 5 pm

Is the refreshed space totally finished?

Not quite yet! We're still waiting on some cool stuff for the Makerspace as well as some shelves here and there. Not every bookend is in place. And we'll be rolling out some services more slowly, like Community Room and Board Room reservations to the public. But we're adding services and spaces back in as fast as we can.

What do you mean, "refreshed?"

Come in and see! Expect new coats of paint, new furniture, new shelving, new flooring, and more. And of course, you'll have access to our fabulous materials and friendly service in THE BIG SPACE once again.

I signed up for a library program. Where will it be held?

Starting in August, we're hosting a lot of our programs back in our Community Room and Board Room spaces. To be certain of where to go, though, BE SURE TO CHECK THE EVENT LISTING ON OUR WEBSITE CALENDAR.

Will you still have office pods for reservation? When can we access those?

Yes! You can still make reservations and use our office pods starting the first day we're open. We've also got a public workspace you can reserve that holds 4 people. Reserve the space by calling us at 452-1757, visiting our website, or coming to the main service desk.

Will I be able to use the Internet on your computers? Or, via wi-fi, on mine?

ABSOLUTELY, FAM. 90 minutes per day with a possible extension if no one else is waiting on OUR computers. And NPL wifi (no password necessary) on YOUR connected devices.

Can I still print 20 pages for free daily like I did at the Annex / Branch location?

Alas: no. It was lovely while it lasted but super expensive for us to provide. We'll return to charging 10 cents / page for black and white prints and 25 cents / page for color prints.

Are you still fine-free?

Certainly! You're only charged for library materials once they're on 'lost' status. And YES: we have kept right on ordering new materials (books, movies, etc.) while we've been closed. Hurry in and check out AS MANY MATERIALS AS YOU WANT. Seriously, we have no limit!

When can we pick up our holds with Curb It?

As soon as they're ready, starting already. You'll be pulling into the same spaces you've used at the main library previously. (Located in the Mulberry St lot). Our Curb It number: 309-824-0809.

Where can I park?

You'll have access again to our three parking areas, including: 1) The small lot at our North entrance off Mulberry Street; 2) The larger lot off Fell Avenue; 3) The parking deck adjacent to Heartland Bank.

When can I bring my great condition, lightly-used donations again?

Starting on Friday! Our book sale won't be open until we receive some of our missing shelving, but we'll accept wonderful items straightaway.

Any more questions? Call us at 309-452-1757 or better yet, COME SEE US STARTING ON FRIDAY. Welcome home, fam!
