Event Details

Stop in on Thursdays at noon to enjoy a variety of pop-up concerts put on by local musicians.

March 9: JaM Acoustic is a guitar and a violin duo from central Illinois and they like to make music.

March 23: emily the band is a three-piece queer girl group based in Peoria, Illinois. Emily Antonacci, Camryn Proctor, and Abbey Haste began to share their indie alt-pop anthems with audiences in the Peoria area in April 2021. Since then, they have expanded their reach to Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington-Normal, Iowa City, and Nashville. Their highly-anticipated, independently-produced debut album, the heartbreak album (2022), has been described as a "hooky pop-gem" (Jon Norton, WGLT).

April 6: Orpheus Mandolin Orchestra is a mandolin ensemble whose name revives that of a group that played in Bloomington in the 1890s through the early teens. In 2003, several friends in the Bloomington, Illinois area decided to form a mandolin appreciation society and orchestra based on the traditional mandolin ensembles found all over the United States in the early 20th-century. All of the typical instruments are represented in the group. They have performed in public and private venues on a frequent basis since inception, including the Champaign-Urbana Folk and Roots Festival, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, and other local and state fairs and festivals. The McLean County Mandolin Society consists of anyone interested in mandolins and mandolin-family instruments, or anyone who has ever seen them play.

April 20: Chris and Kim Acoustic Duo play acoustic versions of your favorite songs from a variety of musical genres.

May 4: Christine Cicha is a cellist who will be playing the music of John Williams.  May the 4th be with you.
