Program Description

Event Details

Learn new digital skills necessary for today’s most in-demand jobs. Participants will meet once a week to work through an online course with support from others.

For this learning circle, we will be working through the courses Google Sheets and Google Sheets - Advanced Topics from Google Cloud Training through Coursera.  Google Sheets is a cloud-based spreadsheet program used by many companies. Many of the skills developed in this course would transfer for using Microsoft Excel.

Those who do not have home Internet access will be able to check out a Chromebook and hotspot kit for the duration of the learning circle. If you need a kit, please indicate that with your registration.

Participants should plan to attend all five meetings in this program series, as each week’s material will build on the last. Registration is for all five meetings, is required and space is limited.

This program is grant-funded. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
