New Year’s Goals: Practice Mindfulness

The library will be closed beginning at 5 pm Saturday, March 30

Normal Public Library at 206 W. College Ave. will be closed beginning at 5 pm Saturday, March 30 for asbestos abatement and renovation. The building will remain closed for the duration of the project. Limited library services will be available at 201 W. College Ave. beginning at 9 am on Monday, April 1.

Program Description

Event Details

Practicing mindfulness can help you improve your sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, improve your focus, lead to better eating behaviors, and contribute to a greater sense of overall well-being. Jim Almeda of Illinois State University Health Promotion and Wellness will lead this workshop on an introduction to mindfulness and its benefits and lead participants in simple meditation and mindfulness techniques that they can incorporate into their day to day lives.

Registration is required and space is limited.
