Meet Harriet Tubman and learn about her incredible life. Tubman escaped slavery and helped other Black Americans gain their freedom as a conductor on the Underground Railroad. She served as a scout, spy, guerilla fighter and nurse for the Union Army in the Civil War, and is considered the first African American woman to serve in the military.

Tubman will be portrayed by Kathryn Harris, former Library Services Director at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and Past President of the Abraham Lincoln Association. Harris has portrayed Tubman since the late 1990s.

This presentation will be engaging and informative for all ages, kids-adults.
