Educator Card

Educator Cards allow teachers to check out items for classroom use without using personal library cards.

To be eligible for a card, educators must be employed in a licensed institutional setting in Normal or Bloomington, i.e. child care centers, preschools, public elementary schools, or private elementary schools. All Unit 5 elementary school educators are eligible for an Educator Card.

Learn more about Educator Cards.

Educator Pack

Benefit from the librarian’s collection development expertise and save time! Request an Educator Pack filled with books to supplement your units of study. Educator Packs check out for six weeks at a time. Contact Randi Sutter, Children’s Outreach Librarian, if you have questions.

Educator Packs are available during the school year. Learn more about Educator Packs.

Virtual Visits

Can’t come to the library? Let us bring the library to you!

Students will learn about the library, its materials, programs, and resources, and how to get a library card. We also offer storytelling and booktalks.

Virtual visits are available to individual classrooms, multiple classrooms and grades, school library classes, large group assemblies, or even school fairs or open houses.

Interested in setting up a visit? Please contact the library staff at least two weeks in advance at 309-454-4668 or kids@normalpl.org. And don’t forget, all of our services are absolutely free!
