Notary Services and Test Proctoring are not offered as part of our Grab and Go Services.

Notary Services

Currently Unavailable

The library offers free notary services for our community. We offer these services only at limited times. There is a limit of 30 documents per person, per day.

The library does not offer notary service Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we have a notary available from noon-1 pm 
  • Additionally we offer notary service on Tuesday night from 6-7 pm and on Wednesday night 7-8 pm 

If your documents require witnesses, please plan ahead as you are required to bring witnesses with you. Library staff are not available to serve as witnesses. 

Anyone signing must bring a valid ID issued by a US state or federal government agency. The ID must bear the photographic image of the individual's face and signature. 

Please note: Library notaries will not notarize documents of conveyance for qualifying residential real property located in Cook County or government I-9 forms, nor can the library provide an Apostille.

Test Proctoring

Currently Unavailable

The Normal Public Library will proctor exams for anyone requiring this service. The fee for this service is $15 per exam. Please phone the library to set up a time at least one week prior to your exam.
