We are so excited to welcome you back into the building for Grab + Go service starting Monday, February 1 at 9 am!
Our general hours of operation will be Monday-Thursday 9 am-6 pm, Friday-Saturday 9 am-5 pm, and Sunday 1 pm-5 pm.
Curbside service and browser packs will remain available indefinitely for anyone who prefers contactless service.
A Few Notes on Health and Safety:
With our region’s positivity rate decreasing, we will open the building in a way that keeps staff and patrons as safe as possible. We are asking that you adhere to the following guidelines when using the library:
- Wear an appropriate mask, keeping the nose and mouth covered at all times. No mask, no entry. This applies to all visitors aged 2 and above.
- Maintain six feet of social distance from others
- Make frequent use of the hand sanitizing stations throughout the building
- Limit your visit to one hour or less
- If you are feeling sick, please do not enter the library
Grab + Go Library Service: What to Expect
You will be able to freely browse the shelves, and self-checkout stations will be available and sanitized frequently.
Computers, scanners, and printers will be available on a first come, first serve basis. No appointment is required. Usage will be limited to a maximum of one hour per person, per day.
Certain areas and collections of the library will be unavailable for use, including meeting rooms, the Discovery Room, all puppets and toys, children’s computers and iPads, the tech playground, Wellness Room, and most seating areas. Notary and test proctoring services are not available at this time.
The Normal Public Library Foundation's Book Sale will be open for browsing in the cafe area on our first floor. Books, movies, and music for all ages will be available for purchase.
We look forward to seeing your (masked) face back in the library!
