Mars has existed in both reality and the imagination of mankind for many years. We now live in an age where Mars is no longer just an object of imagination and myth. Now, we are putting in place plans for a manned mission to Mars, ideally sometime in the 2030s. The object of NASA’s scientific exploration of Mars is to determine if there was surface water and life on the planet. Entrepreneurs, like Elon Musk, are making plans to go beyond visiting Mars to establish a permanent human settlement. How difficult will this be? What are the challenges in getting to Mars and surviving the harsh climate? What lies in the future for Mankind and Mars? Join Kevin Gallagher, NASA Solar System Ambassador, for this interactive Zoom presentation.
