Homebound Delivery Service

The Normal Public Library is happy to offer a delivery service for all homebound patrons.

We want everyone to be able to enjoy the library’s materials, even if it’s not possible for you to make it here.

To Participate

Any NPL patron who is not able to come in to the library because of a physical condition is welcome to take advantage of this service.

Temporary disabilities – broken bones, recovery from illness or surgery, etc. – count, too.

There are no age requirements for the program.

Getting Started

It’s super easy to get started!  Just call the library at 309-452-1757 and ask for our Senior Outreach Librarian.

We know it’s tough for you to get to the library, so we bring our enrollment form to you!  It should be very easy to fill out and we’ll walk you through it.

Having a Library Card

You will need an up-to-date Normal Public Library card to participate in the program.

Don’t have one?  Not a problem.  Our Outreach Librarian can get you signed up for one at the same time that you enroll in the program.

Find out more about getting a library card here.

Books and More

You can choose the books that we deliver or have us select books that we think you’ll enjoy. Or you could try a little bit of both.

There is no limit to the number of books we bring.

We also deliver other library materials, like magazines, movies, music, and audiobooks.

Learn more about our collections here.

We’ll set up a delivery time that works well for you.

We’re happy to deliver to your house, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
