Story Hour for Three, Four, and Five-Year-Olds

Registration will begin Tuesday, September 9 at 9:00 am. Online registration is encouraged, but you can also call or come in to register.

Classes begin the week of September 23 and will last for five weeks.

Class days and times are:

Tuesday evenings from 5:30 – 6:15

Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:15

Wednesday mornings from 9:30 – 10:15

Wednesday mornings from 11:00 – 11:45

Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 10:15

Thursday mornings from 11:00 – 11:45

Art Series

We’re happy to announce that, thanks to a Town of Normal Harmon Arts Grant, NPL will be hosting art workshops featuring local artists throughout the year.

The All Tangled Up Family Workshop on Monday, September 22 has filled.

The October 6 workshop will be Watercolor Collage Designs. This will be a family workshop.

Registration for the October 6 workshop will begin at 9 am on Monday, September 22. Please call the Children’s Department at 309.454.4668 to register.

Additional workshops will be held on the following dates: Oct. 6 • Oct. 20 • Nov. 3 • Nov. 17 • Dec. 1 • Dec. 8 • Jan. 5 • Jan. 19 • Feb. 2 • Feb. 16 • Mar. 2 • Mar. 16 • Apr. 6. Projects and intended age groups will vary, so check back for more information.

Registration will begin two weeks before each workshop.


Upcycled Canning Lid Pumpkin

Thursday, October 9 from 10:00 – 11:30 am.

Registration begins Monday, September 22.

Adults (age 18 and over) are invited to make a fall decoration out of recycled mason jar lid rings. Bring 20 identically sized rings, or $2 to cover the cost.
