The Basics
Earn prizes for reading anything you want! You can even count newspapers, magazines, online articles, and text books!
Check the calendar for upcoming dates for the Adult Winter Reading Program.
It’s Easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Read.
You can read anything that you’d like – as long as you’re reading, it counts!
2. Record.
Keep track of the time you spend reading. For every ten minutes that you read, you can check off one of the boxes on your Reading Record.
3. Earn Prizes!
Bring in a completed Reading Log to get your prize.
You only have to complete an individual Reading Log (i.e., Log 1, Log 2, etc.), not the entire Reading Record to earn your prize.
Participating
You don’t need to register to start the program! The first time you bring in a log, we’ll just add your name to our spreadsheet and start recording your logs. Easy as pie!
You don’t need to live in Normal to participate. You just have to be 16 or older.
Prizes
There are plenty of opportunities to win prizes!
First, each completed Reading Log will earn you one prize that you can pick out at the Front Desk.
Second, each Reading Log will also get you an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing. So, the more logs you turn in, the more chances you’ll have to win.
The drawing will take place after the Winter Reading Program has ended and you’ll be notified if you won one of our many amazing prizes!
Winners of our Grand Prize Drawing will be able to come in and select their prize. Prize selection will be on a first come, first serve basis, so hurry in!
Sponsors
We could not do this program without all of our wonderful sponsors!
Please give them a great big thank-you next time you stop by their business.
