Adult Winter Reading Program

Print Your Booklet

You can print your booklet here or pick one up at the Front Desk.

The Basics

Earn prizes for reading anything you want!  You can even count newspapers, magazines, online articles, and text books!

It’s Easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Read.

You can read anything that you’d like – as long as you’re reading, it counts!

2. Record.

Keep track of the time you spend reading.  For every ten minutes that you read, you can check off one of the boxes on your Reading Record.

3. Earn Prizes!

Bring in a completed Reading Log to get your prize.

You only have to complete an individual Reading Log (two hours worth of reading), not the entire Reading Record to earn your prize.

You don’t need to register to start the program!  The first time you bring in a log, we’ll just add your name to our records and start recording your logs.  Easy as pie!

You don’t need to live in Normal to participate.  You just have to be 16 or older.

There are plenty of opportunities to win prizes!

First, each completed Reading Log will earn you one prize that you can pick out at the Front Desk.

Second, each Reading Log will also get you an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing and our drawing for a Kindle Fire tablet.  So, the more logs you turn in, the more chances you’ll have to win.

The drawing will take place after the Winter Reading Program has ended and you’ll be notified if you won one of our many amazing prizes!

Winners of our Grand Prize Drawing will be able to come in and select their prizes.  Prize selection will be on a first come, first serve basis, so hurry in!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I count magazines, newspapers, or online articles?

Of course! It’s all the same to us.

Can I count time that I spend reading to my kids?

For sure! We love when you read to your kids!

Can I count audiobooks?

You bet!

Can I count the time that I spend reading a book even if I don’t finish it?

Absolutely! Ten minutes is ten minutes.

If I finish the Reading Logs in my booklet, can I do more?

Since we have a limited number of prizes, we ask that you complete only six Reading Logs.

Is it okay if I lose my original booklet?

No problem! You can just grab another one.  We have the number of Reading Logs you’ve already completed saved in our records.

You bet!  And if you can remember any reading that you’ve done after the official start date, you’re welcome to go back and count that.

Can I count reading that I’ve done before the official start date?

Actually, we do ask that you count only reading you’ve done within the official dates of the program.
